India School announces the start of the Summer 2025 session. First day of classes is Sunday, June 15, 2025. The summer 2025 semester will run on Sundays from June 15- July 27, 2025. Please register by June 10, 2025. Please note the summer session is virtual only.
ABOUT THE SUMMER PROGRAM 2025
This summer our online program offers a fun and engaging learning experience for young children and youths, focusing on Hindi language, Indian art, conversation and drama. Each week introduces a new subject, building upon the previous week's learning.
**Weekly Curriculum:**
* **Week 1 (June 15-21): Hindi Language Fundamentals:** Introduction to Hindi consonants and vowels, basic word formation, and simple sentence construction. For older students, reading of text according to level.
* **Week 2 (June 22-28): Indian Art:** Exploration of various Indian art forms, including painting styles, sculpture, and traditional crafts. Hands-on activities will be included.
* **Week 3 & 4 (June 29 – July 12): Conversation Skills:** Development of conversational Hindi through interactive exercises, role-playing, and group discussions. Focus will be on building fluency and confidence in speaking.
* **Week 5 & 6 (July 13-27): Indian Drama:** Introduction to Indian theatre and dramatic techniques. Activities will include short script readings, improvisation exercises, and basic acting techniques.
**Note:** July 6th, 2025 will be a holiday for Independence Day.
